I want to share with you all a quilt that my twin sister made out of fat quarters. She calls it “Pristine and Purple” and that is just the perfect name! It is a full size (laying on a queen bed) and just looks amazing. It is all strip piecing, and went together super fast.

It isnt finished yet, but as soon as we find the perfect backing and get it quilted we will share finished pictures! I just couldnt wait to share this amazing top with you all. She has also made this fantastic t-shirt quilt for our high school wrestling coach. We have stayed close friends since school and she wanted to make him something special. She rounded up all of his old shirts and made this amazing quilt!

Here she is with Coach Baker!

Quilting done by hand (free motion) on her regular sewing machine. This quilt is finished just a bit larger than standard queen. I hope everyone is having a great weekend, I know we sure are enjoying these cooler temperatures here in Texas! Till next time, Happy Quilting!

Hello everyone! I am so excited! I am starting my fall semester at school next week and the Houston Quilt Market is getting closer! I really hope I will get to go and see all of the exhibits. I am back full swing into my sewing. I wanted to share with you a cover that I made for my journal. It is “quilt-as-you-go” and was super fast to make. It was very similar to the sewing machine cover that I made in my last post! Let me know if you would like to see a tutorial about this or anything else!

Happy sewing and I’ll see you all next time!
